Life’s complicated.

Talking can help.

I’m George, a counsellor based in Fishponds and central Bristol. We can meet in a counselling room or head outdoors for walking therapy.

Making sense of things

When I first went to therapy myself, I had no idea where to start – I just knew that life felt tangled up. You might recognise that feeling, or you might already have a good idea of what you want support with. Whatever’s going on, we’ll make room for what matters to you.

I work with people coming to counselling for all sorts of reasons, with particular experience in stress and burnout, anxiety, addictive behaviours, grief and loss, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties.

A bit about me

I took the scenic route to becoming a therapist, after years running my own business and working in tech. Over time I’ve gradually learnt how to slow down, stop trying to get everything right, and take myself a bit less seriously.

I'm curious about what it means to be human and the different ways we experience and understand the world. I’ve spent a fair bit of time meditating, walking in wild places and following that curiosity in some less obvious directions.

Walking therapy

Counselling doesn't have to happen in a room. I also offer walking therapy in Oldbury Court, giving us the option to take our conversations outside and move as we talk.

Sessions can follow the usual 50-minute format, or we can spend a little longer outdoors when that feels useful.
